"...In the details..."

Here's an up-close peek at a small detail in a children's book, re-purposed for a personal birthday E-card I sent to a friend.

Granted, I'm never satisfied with my own work, I always want it to be better, and if left to do so, I can pick apart this iamge ruthlessly. I'll refrain for the moment. I can't explain why, but it's images like this that excite me. A personal touch, a synesthetic zing, for me it may merely be a subjective illustion, never the less I provide this example as a piece of my own work that manages to charm myself.

The Life and Times of RJ Berger

I haven't seen the show, but I believe it's actually live action. As I recall it was explained to me that it depicted flashbacks as animated segments. Here's a look at the segment I worked on.

Children's Books

 These are not necessarily finished pages, given that the children's books I did for jibjab, which  were handed off and actually animated in at least some capacity. Like many of the stills I did for them, these were also properties intended to cast yourself, friends, or more than likely your children, nephews & nieces.

Postable Favorites

What the hell is a "Postable?" Well, I'm not sure if the term ever went live, or ended up staying an in-house term for 'Starring You' still images, but basically it was a digital version of a boardwalk face-in-hole image. You could cast yourself, your friends, significant others, relatives and kids in different situations, holidays, birthdays etc and send them out as e-cards. I've already posted a big stamp of a huge number of them, but I thought I'd pick out a few of my favorites...
